when the phoenix suns need a 3, they go to devin booker and one of their favorite plays.
we saw it last night in game 5 of the nba finals against the milwaukee bucks. phoenix with the ball down 6 with 90 seconds left:
we saw it last season against the dallas mavericks in the bubble, where devin hit this game-winner:
if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
what's also cool is on the very next possession down, they set up a similar look but this time with jae crowder setting a hammer screen for booker going to the corner for a 3 to mix it up:
great play by chris paul to recognize that milwaukee was playing the 3-point line so the paint was wide open and duck in for the quick layup.
also good awareness by khris middleton to cover the corner after jrue holiday top-locked booker and would've got caught on crowder's pick.
all the little details matter.
